Sports Selection AM 2016

Rain pelted down in the early hours of the morning, creating a panic among students who had prepared vigorously for the day’s aerobics. Thankfully, it subsided by eight in the morning, allowing the students to prepare. Then it was pandemonium as students worked to prepare for the aerobics; some students of the PE group arranging people according to their sport houses, and others preparing their equipment.

The national anthem was then used, followed by the college song and a prayer. Eventually the aerobics were executed, and the students of the PE group were pleased with its smooth execution. Then it was the turn of the long awaited event: the sports selection. Many students milled about while waiting for their events, many choosing to chat with their friends.

While some students ended up having to visit the gym to recuperate from their injuries, that was nothing compared to the unexpected surprise the weather afforded the students. The rain that had plagued the field this morning came down once again. While it started with a light drizzle, it wasn’t long before most of the students made a bid for the gym to escape from the water.

Despite the rain and the rescheduling of try outs for several sports events, however, it didn’t dampen the spirits of the students as they participated in a cheer battle between the houses. The students were further cheered by the notion of forming the number two, zero, one and six; which were formed by Laksamana, Pahlawan, Panglima and Hulubalang respectively.

A final cheer battle between the four sport houses ended the sports selection for the morning section.
